Three film options

The right thickness for the right glass.

14 mil interior security film
14 mil
Interior Security Film
Maximum interior protection

The thickest interior option we install. Holds glass together longer under sustained, repeated impact — ideal for ground-floor windows, sidelights, and rear patio doors.

8 mil interior security film
8 mil
Interior Security Film
Standard interior protection

A lighter laminate that still adds meaningful delay to a forced-entry attempt. A good fit for most residential windows where 14 mil is more than needed.

7 mil exterior security film

Exterior Security Film
Sun-facing & exterior glass

Built for exterior application on glass that takes direct sun or where interior install isn’t practical. Adds shatter resistance while protecting interiors from UV.

What the film does

More than a security upgrade.

Optically clear

No tint, no haze. Bonded to the inside surface of your existing glass and trimmed close to the frame — your windows look exactly the same from the street.

Holds glass together on impact

A hammer, crowbar, or brick creates a spiderweb crack. The laminated layer keeps shards bonded so an intruder cannot reach through.

Blocks more than 99% UV

The same film that resists smash-and-grab also blocks UV-A and UV-B. Reduces fabric and floor fade and cuts heat gain on south-facing rooms.

Warranty-backed

The film and installation are backed by manufacturer and workmanship warranties. Ask us for details at your assessment.

Anti-shatter safety

If a window does break — storm debris, an accident, an impact — the film keeps the broken glass from spraying into the room.

Compatible with your glass

Tempered, annealed, single-pane, and double-pane glass are all candidates. We measure and spec the right thickness window-by-window during the assessment.

Why this matters · police data

Glass-entry break-ins still drive the rolling monthly count.

Across the GTA, 163 break-and-enter occurrences were reported in June 2026. Residential and commercial windows remain the most repeatedly forced surface.

Interior 14 mil is the thickest option — it holds glass together longest under sustained impact. Interior 8 mil is a lighter, well-rounded fit for most residential windows. Exterior 7 mil is built for the outside surface of the glass, used on sun-facing windows and panes that aren’t practical to film from inside. Every install is backed by a 10-year manufacturer warranty.

The context

Break-ins are rising. Seconds are the only thing that matter.

Forced glass entry — through patio doors, sidelights, and ground-floor windows — is one of the most common residential break-in methods in the GTA. Glass that shatters cleanly gives an intruder two seconds of access. Glass held together by security film gives you sixty.

Layered deterrents — film, reinforced frames, and visible signage — change the risk calculation for an intruder before they’ve even touched the glass. The goal is to make your property visibly harder than the next one.

Frequently asked

Still have questions? Call (416) 907‑6900 or start a chat — we'll answer honestly.

Q.01Will the film be visible on my windows?
No. The film is optically clear. Most customers forget it's there within a week.
Q.02How long does a whole-home install take?
Typically one day for an average single-family home. Two technicians, no renovation.
Q.03What about tempered or double-pane glass?
Both are compatible. We assess each window and spec the right film grade on site.
