Products we install
8 mil and 14 mil interior security film, and 7 mil exterior film. Coverage differs between the interior security schedule and the exterior schedule — they are not the same product line and they do not carry the same warranty.
Covers qualifying defects in materials and workmanship: peeling, bubbling, rippling, cracking, adhesive failure, delamination, and demetalization.
Exterior films fall under XPEL’s separate Exterior schedule. Scaffolding and related equipment costs are excluded.
- Glass breakage coverage applies only to qualifying installations and approved claims.
- Seal failure coverage applies to eligible dual-pane units and requires a valid, unexpired window manufacturer’s seal-failure warranty at the time of claim.
- Buildings with a prior history of seal failure or thermal glass breakage are not eligible for those specific coverages.
- The XPEL warranty is offered to the original purchaser at the time of installation and is not transferable.
No warranty applies if an interior film is installed on exterior glass, or if an exterior film is installed on interior glass. We install each product only on the glass surface it was designed for.
This page is a summary. Final coverage is subject to XPEL’s official Limited Warranty, film-to-glass compatibility requirements, and claim approval terms. Read the full warranty: clearguard.ca/xpel-warranty.
